Family Background

  Vladimir Putin was born in 7th October 1952 in Leningrad in Russian SFSR, Soviet Union (City now known as Saint Petersburg), youngest of three children of Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin (1911-1999) and Maria Ivanovna Putin (1911-1998) Vladimir Spiridonovich's father has been reported to serve as the cook to the Vladimir Lenin. Miraculously Putin was the only surviving children of the couple as to office proceeding brothers Viktor and Albert, born in the middle of 1930s Albert died in childhood and Victor died due to the disease of diphtheria.

  During the siege of Leningrad at the Eastern front of world war II putin's mother was employed as a factory worker and his father was a conscript in the service of Soviet Navy working in the submarine fleet in early 1930s. Early in the world war II his father was incharge in the destruction battalion of the NKVD. Later he was shifted to the regular army and was seriously wounded in 1942.
 
 Putin's maternal grandfather was given by the German occupiers of the Tver region in 1941, and in many of his maternal Uncles lost from the war front.

Educational beginning

   On 1 September 1960 Putin begin at school No. 193 at the Baskov Lane, near his house. Out of 45 puples in his class approximately he was one of the few of them not a member of the Young Pioneer organisation. Started doing practice of Sambo in Judo at the age of 12. He was judo black belt from that time and national master of sports in Sambo. Desire to replicate intelligence officers incarnated in in Soviet cinemas. Vladimir Putin learned German language in Saint Petersburg high School and he became able to speak fluent German.

Leningrad State University


  Vladimir Putin studied law at the Leningrad State University n(Saint Petersburg State University) in 1970 and graduated in 1975. His theses was based on "The Most Favoured Nation Trading Principle in International Law".

Joining the only party 


Communist party of Soviet Union

  While that time in Leningrad he joined the Communist party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). He remain in the party until it's abolition (band in August 1991).

Inspirational person


Anatoly Sobchak

 Anatoly Sobchak, an assistant professor who taught bussiness law was met by Putin. He was co-author of Russian Constitution, and became an influential personality in Putin's career.
